From November 29 to December 1, 2024, a training seminar on the development of strategic documents, sectoral programs, and investment proposals for projects was successfully held in the conference hall of the “Levakand” Hotel in the city of Bokhtar. The event targeted water resource specialists from the Bokhtar zone of the Khatlon region.
The seminar was organized by the Agency for Land Reclamation and Irrigation under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan (ALRI) with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe and in collaboration with the Secretariat of the National Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (NCID) of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The program included practical training sessions, video materials, discussions on modern water resource management methods, and experience-sharing opportunities among participants. A total of 20 specialists from various ALRI departments participated, including 3 representatives from the Department of Land Reclamation and Irrigation of the Khatlon region and 17 representatives from district and city departments of the Bokhtar zone in the Khatlon region. Notably, 30% of the participants were women, highlighting the commitment to gender equality principles in training and professional development.
At the end of the seminar, participants emphasized the high level of organization and the usefulness of the presented materials. Special attention was given to the development of specific project proposals and an in-depth analysis of the needs of the water sector.
